Pump price of gasoline is soaring so alarmingly high that these you can’t help but to be shocked at the rate which you are charged at the gas pump. You may even begin to feel like the best thing to do is to dispose the car and you will be better off.
On a second thought, probably you first want to own most sophisticated vehicle in the automobile world, the hybrid vehicle which had set in the late 1990s.  Hybrid vehicles are powered by two engines, electric motor and gasoline engine.

Still under seniors debate is the issue of whether gas-powered cars.  Hybrid cars use battery which are rechargeable as the fro engine work hand in hand complimenting the other as need arises.  The high-powered battery provides power for the electric motor which if burn out can be recharged while the car runs.  A process referred to as regenerative breaking.  Hence there is no need for any form of plugging the car.   

To fully appreciate hybrid cars and how they work and the flawless integration of a gas engine, a high-powered battery, and an electric motor, you will need a bit of enlightenment.  There are various sources from which you can get information that will give you insight on hybrid cars.  Some of these sources of information on hybrid categorized the hybrid thing into two main components; viz the mild hybrid on one hand and the full hybrid on the other.

Mild Hybrid
The mild hybrid uses or run on their gas engine and get extra support from the electric engine or motor as the need arise.  In other words, the electric motor is dependent on the gas engine.  One good example of this type is the 2003 – 2005 edition of Honda insight with an electric motor that generates electricity which is absorbed in the battery.

Full Hybrids
This flawlessly integrates a gas engine, a high powered, battery and electric motor under a given condition, sat low speed driving for some hybrid cars, the electric motor can run all alone.  But gas engines resumes work at a higher speed level of the hybrid.  
However, the required power to accelerate is provided by the combination of the gas engine and electric motor at the same time.  A hybrid example of the full hybrid cars is the Toyota Prius, Lexus RX 400h, Toyota Highlander, Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner Hybrid.

The market of hybrid car at present is experiencing influx of varying model of these cars in terms of designs specification and the line.  You can access information.
However, note that this information came from varying hybrid car manufacturers who will say only things that will enable them sell.  Therefore, personal findings before making decision on what vehicle to purchase are a necessity on the part of users, especially if you say around the city or urban settlement.  You can be sure that hybrid cars are the future cars as far as city settlement is concerned. At least, we could be sure of a clear environment to live in.
