As price of fuel increases, consumers look away from the convention gas-powered cars and look forward to owning a hybrid car. This has led to a consistent increase in the demand for hybrid cars. And following suite, the various automobile manufacturers are spurning versions and models of hybrid cars into the market. This will soon leave the consumer with problem of choice with the price been a major factor.

1. Ford Escape Hybrid
This was the first ever American hybrid, the hybrid SUV. It recorded an outstanding success and the success of the hybrid SUV led to the manufacturing of the Mercury Mariner earlier than scheduled. The vehicle can run on 28mpg in 60th city and highway driving and has a very spacious interior. It is also very convenient.
The Ford Escape Hybrid which still have prevalence over Lexus and SUV which is its closest competitors, has anti-clock brakes and outlet for 110-volts located in the control panel.

One unique feature of the Honda Insight is its ability to save fuel, making the best when it comes to fuel economy. Through the Honda insight fall short of the comfort and luxury dished out by the prius or the civic, but it is still the vehicle for commuters. The mileage for Honda insight is 60mpg and 66mpg on city driving and highway respectively.
